Water Taxi Launches Service To Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort's 5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill
Water Taxi's bar-hopping potential just got even better.
Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi has added Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort's 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill as its newest stop on the Intracoastal.
Route service commences on the evening of Dec. 21 after a grand opening ceremony, featuring a ceremonial ribbon cutting and Margaritaville-themed mini-cruise.
Located across the street from the Hollywood Beach resort, 5 o'clock Somewhere is an indoor-outdoor dockside bar along the Intracoastal Waterway. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., the eatery serves up bar bites, drinks and live entertainment.
“The recently opened venue is already incredibly popular with tourists and locals alike, and will make a great addition to our lineup of exciting destinations," Water Taxi co-owner Mike McGurl said in a release.
5 o'clock Somewhere Bar & Grill also serves as a launch site for paddleboarding and kayak excursions in the area.
At 5:15 p.m., general route service will begin with Jimmy Buffet music and an onboard bartender. Special $5 all-day wristbands can be purchased at 5 o'clock Somewhere Bar & Grill during the event.
A Water Taxi ticket includes unlimited rides all day in Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood. It is generally $26 for adults, $21 for senior citizens and military personnel, and $12 for children ages 5 to 11. Kids under 5 are free.
