What To Do At Delray Beach Fashion Week 2016: Enjoy Runway Events, Designer Showcases And More

Delray's third annual weeklong fashion celebration begins this weekend, and with it, comes tons of stylish events.

During Delray Beach Fashion Week, taking place Jan. 16 to Jan. 23, expect fashion shows of all forms—from swimwear to resort attire—as well as luncheons, designer showcases and more.

Fashion Week kicks off Saturday with the Havana Nights fashion show highlighting resort wear. In addition, several salons—Cut Salon, Scarlet Ivy and T. Damon Mitchell—are offering promotions throughout the week. Vixity Jewelry will also be holding trunk shows.

Saturday, Jan. 16

"Havana Nights" Fashion Show

What: Resort wear for men, women and children

Where: East Atlantic Avenue in front of the historic Colony Hotel

When: Visit downtown boutique vendor tents starting at 6 p.m.; Runway show hosted by CBS 12 anchor Suzanne Boyd begins at 7 p.m.

Cost: $20


Monday, Jan. 18

Delray Beach “Evening with Great Gatsby” Fashion Show

What: Fashion show featuring evening wear and styles from Delray Beach designers. Cocktail reception, vendor showcase, silent auction.

Where: Delray Beach Marriott Hotel

When: 7 p.m.

Cost: $35


Tuesday, Jan. 19

Timeless Fashion Show & Auction

What: Fashions for men and women

Where: Fashion show in Atlantic Plaza, plus a three-course lunch from the Free House Restaurant

When: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cost: $30


Thursday, Jan. 21

Seasons For A Reason Hair Show 

Where: The Fieldhouse at Old School Square

What: Downtown Delray stylists showcase their skills on styles for all seasons.

When: 8 p.m. 

Cost: $25


Delray Beach Fashion Night & Day Out 

What: Fashion boutiques, hair salons and art galleries will host open house events, including "Sip & Shops," in their stores.

When: Regular store hours 

Where: Throughout downtown

Cost: Free to attend


Friday, Jan. 22

4th Annual Vince Canning Stiletto Race

What: A fab and funky race for a cause benefiting the Achievement Centers for Children and Families. Entrants will sprint, strut or sashay their way to the finish line for the chance to win prizes and trophies. 

Where: Southeast 4th Avenue and Atlantic Avenue

When: 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  

Cost: $25


Saturday Jan. 23

"Beachside Glamor" Surf & Swim Show

What: Runway show featuring men and women's beachwear from more than 25 fashion retailers within downtown. 

Where: Worthing Park, corner of East Atlantic Avenue and Southeast 2nd Avenue. VIP reception at Salt, following the show. 

When: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Show begins at 7:45 p.m.

Cost: Free
