Women's World Cup Champ Lauren Holiday Will Be Visiting Miami To Meet, Train Young Athletes And Soccer Fans

On Sept. 26, soccer lovers will get a chance to hear what a day in the life of a professional player is like—from a World Cup champ herself.

Lauren Holiday, Olympian and member of the 2015 U.S. women’s national team, will be visiting South Florida as part of the “Celebrate the Cup” National Tour to continue inspiring young athletes.

From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Holiday will be at South Miami Senior High School to speak about the 2015 World Cup, answer questions, sign autographs and coach young athletes and fans in attendance through soccer drills.

The expected age range for participants is 6 to 12 years old, but an event representative said kids of all ages are welcome to come out.

"We won't turn down a 4 year old who wants an autograph," she said.

The event is free and open to the public, with no registration necessary. Smoothie King will be present to provide smoothies for refreshing breaks.
