The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County (BGCBC) will host the 6th Annual Future Tastes Great Iron Chef Competition on Saturday, November 22, 2014, 6:30 p.m., at Hugh’s Culinary in Oakland Park. This fun and unique fundraiser, sponsored by, The Offield Family Foundation, McDonald Family Foundation, Mr. Steve Parnell, Leo Goodwin Foundation, and Mr. Peter Woolf will raise the necessary funds to operate the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Culinary Arts Program which is conducted at the Leo Goodwin Foundation Teen Center at the Levine/Slaughter Boys & Girls Club in North Lauderdale.  The Culinary Arts program is just one of the many specialized Career Exploration Programs that are available for Boys & Girls Club teen members to help introduce them to alternative career opportunities.
“The Future Tastes Great event is critical to our Culinary Arts Program. We are so thankful for the volunteers and board members who are contributing to making the event a success. Culinary Arts and other career exploratory programs are important in preparing members of BGCBC for life skills in the workplace and in the home,” quote from Brian Quail, President/CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
