John Offerdahl’s Broward Health Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival Welcomes New Restaurants, Miami Dolphins Legends And More
John Offerdahl’s Broward Health Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival, South Florida’s premier culinary event, will fire up the grill with delicious dishes, an assortment of wine and spirits and fun for all on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater. Now in its seventh consecutive year, the event will feature new restaurants including Red Cow, Boatyard and Hard Rock Cafe, plus first-time Miami Dolphins legends Chris Chambers, Scott Mitchell and Terry Kirby to prepare grilled entrées with top chefs.
Event fans will still enjoy crowd-favorite restaurants that will return to compete for culinary glory. Participating restaurants include Naked Taco, Darrel and Oliver’s Café Maxx, Oceans 234 and Beauty and the Feast. Past award-winning dishes include Grilled Spanish Octopus, Grilled Cobia Fish Tacos, Bacon & Bleu Rib-Eye, Espresso and Chocolate Crusted Filet Mignon and Key West Shrimp Tacos.
Football players have a big role in helping to create, grill and serve up one-of-a-kind dishes to event attendees. Returning Miami Dolphins legends who will be grilling alongside South Florida’s top chefs include Larry Little, Jay Fiedler, Mercury Morris, Jim Jensen, Channing Crowder and Mark Duper.
Dauphin’s of Mobile, Alabama and local favorites S3 and McCoy’s Oceanfront will serve up eco-friendly dishes in the Sustainable Seafood Village presented by the Alabama Marine Resources Division. Nearly 3,000 foodies, 21 and older, will enjoy live entertainment, a silent auction, the Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey Tailgate Challenge and the Cornhole Championship at the Toyota Cornhole Stadium & Festival Stage.
Tickets are now on sale and range in price from $85 – $200. New this year, fans will have the opportunity to purchase the $200 LUXE Ticket package which provides access into the Grand Grill-Off at noon, entry into the Sponsor Suite, an exclusive meet and greet with John Offerdahl and an autographed football by John Offerdahl.
One hundred percent of event proceeds will benefit Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Foundation. Charitable recipients include 4KIDS of South Florida, HOPE South Florida, Here’s Help, Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, Miami Dolphins Foundation and Taste of the NFL.
