The Third 'Annual Interest 2015' Art Exhibition/Reception at Young At Art Museum on January 30, 2015
Join Young At Art Museum and Bedlam Lorenz Assembly (BLA), for the Third 'Annual Interest 2015' fundraiser/opening reception on Friday, January 30 at 7:30 p.m., at the Museum, located at 751 S.W. 121 Ave. in Davie.
Presented by BLA, YAA’s cooperative contemporary arts and alternative projects group, 'Annual Interest 2015' features works of South Florida artists and VIP previews of solo exhibitions by artist duo collaborative Guerra de la Paz and mixed-media artist Sri Prabha. Prabha’s Orbiting Cathedrals uses kinetic imagery and sound, to propel participants on a far-away journey outside the stratosphere with interactive use of multi-video projections, mixed-media, sound, and photo-based works to transcend physical space.
Guerra de la Paz (Cuban born artists Alain Guerra and Neraldo de la Paz who live and work in Miami) created a site-specific installation Nefelibara – Cloud Walker in the Museum’s Knight Gallery, the parameters of which will be host to an atmospheric, spatial exploration of suspended animation, centered around a metaphoric interpretation of a cloud that both emits and absorbs.
Guests will have a chance to participate in BLA’s third-annual art drawing, giving collectors and the public a chance to take home original works from some of today's most exciting artists. Proceeds from the drawing will benefit Young At Art’s and BLA’s artist workshops, exhibitions and year-long interactive programming.
Topping off the evening, guests can explore YAA’s exhibits and art studios, and enjoy a selection of gourmet food, craft beers and entertainment integrated throughout the museum.
