Sorrisi is no longer just the pizza place or the little brother to NYY Steak at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. It’s attracting its own, much-deserved attention.

At the helm is Chef Jacob Perego, formerly of Tanzy in Boca and Evo Italian in Tequesta. Perego says the former Sorrisi was like a chain Italian restaurant – it was missing something special. His mission: To make it the top Italian restaurant in South Florida.

He’s well on his way with appetizers like the buttery black pepper and truffle-infused burrata, and entrées like the porcini-encrusted lamb rack drizzled with a blackberry port wine. To top off a satisfying meal, diners can enjoy a scoop of Sorrisi’s gelato or sorbet. Or, they can finish off a glass of wine while playing the slots and perusing the casino floor.

It makes for the perfect night out.
